The Restos du Coeur and the film industry are launching Wednesday in all of France an unprecedented operation, "The Cinema has the heart", which will last one week and will return to the association a euro for any movie theater purchased, they announced in a statement.

Cinema theaters in the National Federation of French Cinemas (FNCF) and film distributors grouped together in the National Federation of Film Publishers (FNEF), the Union of Independent European Distributors (DIRE) and of the Union of Independent Distributors (SDI), have decided to engage with the association for this collection operation, said the Restos du Coeur.

From September 18th to 24th, one euro - the equivalent of a meal distributed by the Restos du Coeur - will be taken from each place bought, in the rooms participating in the operation on a voluntary basis throughout France. they added.

"This is a first and we are very happy with this new engagement of the world of cinema with us, a world so dear to Coluche," said Patrice Blanc, President of Restos du Coeur. "The spectators, thanks to their release at the cinema during this week of September, will be able to contribute to this generosity to the benefit of the Restos du Coeur by the purchase of a place at the usual rate," he added.

The Restos du Coeur have distributed 130 million meals in 2018. They will launch in November their 35th winter campaign.
