The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs and the National Elections Commission organized a workshop to raise awareness of the FNC elections 2019 and related procedures, entitled “Political Participation and FNC Elections”, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Abu Dhabi. Ensure that the voting takes place outside the country on 22 and 23 September, in accordance with the highest standards of accuracy, transparency and integrity.
The workshop focused on the 118 electoral centers distributed among the embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions of the UAE in various countries of the world, where the staff of these centers were provided with the expertise and skills that enable them to deal with the electorate members of the electoral bodies during the period Voting outside the country, especially with regard to receiving voters and directing them to exercise their electoral right, in addition to introducing them to the mechanism of printing the ballot paper, in order to ensure transparency, accuracy and fairness in the voting process, which takes place outside the country manually and through ballot boxes.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Federal National Council Affairs at the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, member and rapporteur of the National Elections Commission, Dr. Saeed Al-Ghafli, said that the National Elections Commission is working to provide all the capabilities and capabilities to qualify cadres and competencies inside and outside the country, so as to ensure better conduct of the electoral process and empower voters. To exercise their right to choose their representatives easily and easily wherever they are, by providing centers equipped to receive them, over the period of voting scheduled outside the country, according to the timetable for the elections of the Federal National Council 2019.
He called on all members of the electoral bodies, wherever they are, to participate actively in the electoral process, to contribute to keep up with the aspirations of the UAE leadership to enable the citizen to contribute effectively in the decision-making process, and improve the parliamentary work in the UAE.
The workshop also explained the mechanisms of voting outside the UAE, which will be in 118 polling stations distributed to embassies, consulates and diplomatic missions of the UAE abroad, on 22 and 23 September 2019, where voting will be through these centers through a manual voting system, through the ballot box Provided in these centers with the highest standards of accuracy and transparency.
