The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for the Evaluation and Curriculum Sector, Dr. Hamad Al-Yahyai, said that the “Tamkeen” program launched by the Ministry, which targets students who fail in three subjects or less, students who lacked skills during the last academic year because of their repeated absence, is working to link Between them and the school since the beginning of the new school year, to overcome the accumulated absence behavior and promote a link and motivation they have to the process of teaching and learning.

He added that the class of students who are absent does not exceed 10%, pointing out that the student's presence and commitment to school attendance is a priority, because the school does not rely solely on the textbook, but the availability of resource rooms, laboratory rooms and robots, FabLab, and software, so the student The absent will not have all these things.

Al-Yahyai stressed that all these measures come within the UAE school system with all its tracks, which aim to achieve the goals of the national agenda and the strategies of the state in the short and long term.

He pointed out that in the past the society used to the system of student entrance exams at the end of the year, and then announce the result, and if it fails to enter a direct re-examination, adding: "Through our study of this method we found that the student does not always achieve the desired result for several reasons, the most frequent absence of the student Since the beginning of the study until the end of the academic year, we are witnessing frequent absences, and therefore we conducted a study on the relationship of absences with the results of students, and the study resulted in the high rates of absenteeism for students to fail to achieve the minimum possibilities and knowledge needed to exceed the academic year, so we began to think in a way Learning programs were implemented for students, including those receiving treatment outside the UAE.We observed that these students are able to follow their lessons and enable them to acquire knowledge, skills and pass tests while in treatment rooms abroad, which falls under the Tamkeen program.

He stated that after applying Tamkeen to the students during the summer period, activating their accounts on the student information and grades system became 100%. This activation was not before, which proves that the student as a result of his absence and the result of the practice of specific behavior was unable to activate his accounts during the The study year continued, "Through our study we have observed behaviors on how to follow the lessons, vary from one student to another, some students accomplish their studies during multiple hours continuously, others want to cut these hours, and a third team wants to study the evening, and others like to study Morning.

He stressed that the tests are not to judge that the student is successful or failed, and that the process of teaching and learning is not a measure to judge the student, but to enable them to knowledge, skills and behavior, so the education system in the UAE school to ensure that the student of basic knowledge and skills more important than a judgment that This student is successful or failed.
