As the Kremlin representative recalled, the presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko in St. Petersburg instructed governments to finalize an action plan for integrating the economies of the two states.

“As far as I know, this plan of action has already been largely agreed upon, a very serious work has been done on both sides,” Peskov said.

According to him, the plan to continue the steps in the framework of integration has so far "really not been published, not disclosed."

“Therefore, all this information is purely preliminary in nature. At that moment, when governments will report on this to the presidents - this format will be agreed upon - then it will become known about the “road map”, he added.

Answering a question about the timing of approval of such a card, he indicated that "the presidents spoke before the New Year," but "specifically, there is no agreement yet."

Earlier, the Kommersant newspaper, citing sources, wrote about the "economic integration program", which was initialed by the parties in early September.

According to the publication, it is designed for 1.5 years and involves a partial integration of economic systems since 2021. This, as indicated, is a single tax code, foreign trade regime and the Civil Code.

On September 6, the Russian government announced the completion of work on a program for integration with Belarus.

A prepared program of action to deepen the economic integration of states was also reported.
