Growing up in Skärblacka was safe at least at home, at school it could be both and, a little depending on the circumstances, as it usually is for children and young people.

Social rules to relate to as a child

- This is also what I want to describe in my book, how many social rules you have to take into account as a child. You can't say, and you can't, you can't pretend to like it. If you bought a new shirt it can be a hard thing, if you have not bought a new shirt it can be a hard thing. You can be teased for just about anything, says Jenny Jägerfeld.

"Feel free to come here and say hello"

She still calls Skärblacka with her 4,000 residents at home and she has her dad living in the parents' home so she is often visiting. One of the favorite places was the road to the church where she rested one of the family's various dogs. But to move back, she can't imagine that.

- I'm very happy here and greeting, but I wouldn't want to live here. I don't have many friends left here, most of them live in Stockholm. And so I have my children in Stockholm so it would be boring to commute, says Jenny Jägerfeld.

Jenny about her favorite places in Skärblacka

Tomorrow Tuesday will be her eighth book, My Great Life, a children's book set in the birthplace of Skärblacka.

- I wanted to write a book in a fun and exciting environment, a transmitting environment for children, and this house that I grew up in is a pretty fun and exciting one. There are many strange things, there is a jukebox, a pinball game, and a cola machine. When I was a kid we had stereo in every room, in the toilet, in the sauna, in the workshop and in the garage, everywhere. I wanted to create an environment that was fun and exciting for a child to come to and then I let Sigge move from Stockholm to Skärblacka. Although I have turned the house into a hotel his grandmother runs. It's called Royal Grand Golden Hotel in Skärblacka, says Jenny Jägerfeld.

The book is the first in an imagined series.

- I have said it to the publisher so I must live up to it, So far I have only written down ten words as pillars that may become something. But I haven't received any money from the publisher so they can't say anything unless there is no continuation, says Jenny Jägerfeld and smiles.
