Now this year's sustainability week is starting

SEE's sustainability week is running for the tenth year in a row. A week for social, economic and ecologically sustainable development throughout the county. Actors are spread across 27 locations to disseminate information and knowledge within the subject.

This year, Nordmaling and Vännäs municipalities have been selected as focus municipalities. This means that they receive extra support and assistance with their events.

- For example, we have had articles published in the newspaper and some extra peppery from the project management.

During the sustainability week there are hundreds of activities to visit. Vännäs offers, among other things, a sustainable fashion show, cooking on goods with a passing date and film screening. Malin Karlsson believes that this week is an opportunity for everyone to show their work on sustainable development.

- Anyone who wants to get involved and do some kind of activity is allowed to do so. It's a week when you get to see several other people's sustainable work, not just ours in the town hall.

According to project manager Kristin Olsson, there is a large and growing commitment to the county. Sustainability work started a little earlier, but starts in earnest on Monday.

- It's about putting a focus on sustainability for a week - getting in new arrangements but also paying attention to what's already going on.

Of the Vännäs residents SVT talked to, few know about the annual event. But it still seems to be a matter of interest.
