Summer weather will dominate the south of the country, where thunderstorms may break out locally at the end of the day.

The day of Monday will be summery overall, but cloudy near the Channel and sometimes stormy in the Pyrenees, according to forecasts of Météo-France.

Météo-France is planning a mild morning on Monday with some rare clouds over Aquitaine and the Languedoc-Roussillon coastline. But very quickly during the day, the sun and the heat will prevail. Cumulus clouds will develop in the Pyrenees and locally in the Southern Alps. A few showers are then to be feared, and will become locally stormy in the late afternoon.

A tortured sky on the northern half

North of the Loire, the sky will be mixed, sometimes clouded by clouds over the north-east. On the north-west, after the morning fog, the sky remains very busy from the north of Brittany to the Hauts de France. A few drops will be possible in the evening on the extreme north of the country.

The minimum temperatures will be between 8 to 12 degrees from Brittany and Pays de la Loire to the Hauts de France to Lorraine, from 12 to 18 over the rest of the country, with 19 to 22 on the Côte d'Azur and in Corsica. The maximum, always very high for the season, will reach 19 to 21 degrees on the banks of the Channel, 25 to 32 on the rest of the country, with peaks of 33 to 34 degrees in the Charente.
