The Fujairah Court of Appeal has acquitted a Gulf Arab man convicted of psychotropic substances after finding drugs in his vehicle on a traffic case after being sentenced to two years in prison.

Details of the incident began in a traffic case against the young man, which required his vehicle to be detained pending investigation. Subsequently, narcotics were found in the vehicle when it was presented to the Special Drug Testing Center, and he was arrested and charged with drug abuse.

The defendant, who complied before the court, denied the charge, saying that he was sentenced in a traffic case where his vehicle had to be detained and was free of any narcotic substances.

He pointed out that he was not present when the drug was found inside the vehicle and was not seen.

It is noteworthy that the defendant was facing a traffic case in the area of ​​Dibba Fujairah, and was considered the case against him and sentenced in the Court of First Instance, without being charged with any drug abuse.
