On Monday, the movement invited Friday for future to discuss Umeå municipality's proposals for climate targets and the carbon dioxide budget that the organization has financed on behalf of the municipality.

200 people, municipal politicians and representatives of Umeå's business community, were invited to a meeting. But when the program started after lunch, many chairs were empty. Of the 200 invited, about 30 people showed up.

"Very boring," says Carl Weidenstolpe of Fridays for future.

The public interest is greater

On Monday evening, the doors were open to the public. Fridays for future offered a sustainable lecture and, as the picture below shows, the interest was considerably greater. About 100 people were on the scene just before it started.

Hear Carl say that so few politicians were in the clip.
