It's been almost a year since. In a match against HV71 in the SDHL on September 29 last year, what happened to interrupt the 25-year-old's hockey career.
- I got the skates shoveled and hit the back of the ice and it turned black, says Caroline Markström.
After a break, she completed the match and also participated in the two additional matches played by the team over the weekend. Then the real problems came and she ended up staying for a few months.
- I slept a lot in a couch in a dark room, couldn't watch TV or anything like that. Nothing could endure so much. Dared barely walk.
"Suddenly nothing was going on"
She had been a person who lived an active life with a lot of training and socializing. Now she became ill and suddenly couldn't stand anything.
- I really have two things that I get energy from and it's people and training and now I couldn't do anything, which was a challenge for me, says Caroline Markström.
