Ukraine intends to borrow more than $ 15 billion in 2020

The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oksana Markarova announced the intention of the Ukrainian side to take loans for 380 billion hryvnia (approximately $ 15.3 billion - RT) in 2020.

It is reported by Interfax-Ukraine.

The corresponding amounts are included in the draft budget of the country for 2020.

“We are planning about 380 billion hryvnias for borrowing,” she said.

According to her, the government hopes that these will be borrowings from Ukrainian “official lenders”.

Earlier, Ukraine paid off its debts to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the stand-by program, which began in 2014.

In August, former Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Muraev told why the IMF is providing loans to Ukraine.
