A $ 1.25 million pure gold toilet made by Italian artist Maruccio Catellan on Saturday was stolen from the World Heritage site of Blenheim by unidentified people during an art exhibition hosted by the palace and will run until October 27. .
A 66-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident, while the stolen toilet was not found, police said.
The thieves used two cars to carry out the robbery, they said.
The toilet was first displayed at the Gugheim Museum in America and was used by 100,000 people between September 2016 and summer 2017.
