September 15, 2019US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused Iran of attacks on Saudi oil facilities, stating that Tehran "launched an unprecedented attack on global energy supplies".
"There is no evidence that the attacks came from Yemen", says Pompeo in the tweet in which he accused instead of Iran for the attacks on Saudi refineries. "Tehran is behind almost 100 attacks against Saudi Arabia while Rohani and Zarif pretend to engage in diplomacy," he said.

Riad stops production in affected refineries
Riyadh temporarily stopped production at Aramco's two Saudi refineries, the object of attacks with drones claimed by the Yemeni rebels, interrupting about half of the company's total production. This was announced by the Saudi energy ministry. The decision, he added, will lead to a stop of around 5.7 million barrels a day, equal to 50% of the total production.

Use ready to use oil reserves after Riyadh attacks
The US Department of Energy has announced that the United States is "ready to use resources from strategic oil reserves (630 mln barrels, ed), if necessary, to compensate for any interruption of oil markets" after Riyadh stopped production in the two maxi implants attached with drones. Energy Secretary Rick Perry also gave instructions to work with the International Energy Agency on potential options for a collective global response if necessary.
