15 September 2019The new Minister for Equal Opportunities and Family, Elena Bonetti of the Democratic Party, returns to talk about extended parental leave: "We want to work on it further, extending it to the fathers". It does not mean that women can afford to devote more time to work, but "recognize that the role of a father is fundamental both to the care of the child and to the couple's relationship".

At Radio24, Bonetti describes extended parental leave as an "act that produces social value". He also spoke about the birth topic and the integration of children and young people in the collective world: "A parent who does not go to work to go and talk to the professor, does not only exercise a right but an act of educational alliance between school and family, useful for forming the citizen ".

Still on the live radio broadcast, Bonetti talked about female empowerment, which "in Italy must be activated because where man is recognized as an educational alliance with respect to women, then women are also freed from that vision relegated to certain contexts that then it does not give her the opportunity to insist more in the world of work ".
