1 in 6 children from around the world cannot attend school UNESCO report September 14 9:28

In the world, it is clear that one out of every six children cannot attend school because of poverty and other reasons.

UNESCO conducted a survey on school attendance last year for children aged 6 to 17 in the world and published a report on the 13th.

According to it, the number of children not attending school last year was approximately 258.4 million worldwide, which is one in six.

In addition, the proportion of children aged 15 to 17 who are unable to receive higher education is approximately 8% in developed countries, compared to approximately 61% in developing countries. I reiterated that there are significant differences depending on the situation.

Poverty is the reason why higher education is not available, and many children have to give priority to employment even if they want to go to school.

Furthermore, there are about 3 million boys who have never been able to attend elementary school, while girls have tripled to 9 million, indicating that there is still an educational gap between men and women.

UNESCO has urged countries to take urgent measures, saying that the school enrollment situation of children around the world has not improved for more than 10 years.
