It was in March last year that the man would go for a walk with his dog. Although the police issued an injunction that the man must have a mouth basket and a short leash on the dog when he is outdoors, since the dog had previously bit an 8-year-old girl, the dog had no mouth basket.

Woman traumatized

When they met a woman, the dog jumped up and bit the woman in the face on the side of her mouth, at the chin. The woman began to bleed vigorously and she had to seek care. She was on sick leave for about three months after the incident and developed a fear of dogs.

The man denied the incident and said she may have fallen into the tarmac, but the medical statement supports the woman's story.

Damages and fines

According to the man, the dog was kind to people, but that it was afraid of people covering part of the face with a veil or helmet, for example. He stated that he would touch the dog's mouth when he came out, but that he did not have it before the event.

The man is sentenced to inflict bodily injury and has to pay SEK 76,000 in damages and fines.
