Frankfurt / Main (AP) - Several thousand demonstrators have begun on the first public day of the International Motor Show in Frankfurt with protests for a change in traffic and more climate protection. The prelude was an action in the city center. The police reported a peaceful mood. The police expected a total of around 20,000 participants for a big rally in the afternoon in front of the exhibition center. The protesters for more climate protection wanted to arrive partly on foot, partly by bicycle.
