Following what happened, Spea Engineering SpA announced in a note that "the company's Board of Directors, meeting urgently today, having learned of the precautionary measures issued by the judiciary against some company employees, ordered the immediate suspension from the appointment of the same employees ".

Furthermore, the Spea Engineering Board of Directors "is willing to remit its mandate in the hands of the President to allow the most effective protection of the company. Any further and consequent deed will be assumed by the Board already convened for next Tuesday 17 September".

In a passage of the order issued by the investigating magistrate of Genoa, Angela Maria Nutini shows that "the zeal of the company during the investigations was not limited to supporting the employees under investigation. It also materialized in computer remediation activities, camera installations to prevent the activation of interceptions and the use of intercepters of interceptions themselves ". In addition to this, the investigating magistrate emphasizes, "the company, with the legal department in mind, oversaw the preparation of the employees in view of the interrogations, in order to direct them on what to say and what to omit".
