Most often, in the first half of this year, Russians traveled to Turkey - 2.7 million times. Compared to 2018, the number of trips increased by 400 thousand (it was 2.3 million). It is noted that the bulk of trips to this country was made for the purpose of tourism.

In second place among the most popular foreign countries among Russians is Abkhazia. Residents of Russia went there 1.8 million times, most often for the purpose of a private visit.

Next come Finland (1.7 million), Kazakhstan (1.4 million) and China (1.2 million). In these countries, Russians in most cases also went on a private visit. It is noted that during this period, Russians made 1.08 million trips to Ukraine.

The least popular among the Russians were countries such as Namibia, Greenland, Benin, New Zealand and others. They went there five or less times.
