Russian President Vladimir Putin, the UEFA Lightweight Mixed Martial Arts (UFC) champion, met with Habib Nurmohammadov, who retained his title, after beating American rival Dustin Poirier on Saturday.

The meeting took place in one of the halls of Dagestan airport, the birthplace of Nurmmadov, and was attended by his father, Abdul Manawib, who oversees his training.

Nurmukhamedov has never been defeated in his professional career, during which he fought 28 guests, making him the most prominent mixed martial arts legends.
