At six months of the municipal elections, Édouard Philippe approaches Le Havre, a city he has run for seven years. In an interview with the local newspaper Paris Normandie, the Prime Minister takes a step closer to his former town hall, declaring: " My attachment to the city is unwavering and even Matignon, I look what happens in Le Havre. Other ministers are also preparing to launch.

" My guts have a taste of salt water ... " In a few words dropped at the tribune of the "Campus of the territories", the summer university of the Republic in March last weekend in Bordeaux, Edouard Philippe has made a blow double. For the first time, he put an end to the rumors about an emergency application in Paris, and he mainly relaunched his future in Le Havre.

The Prime Minister will let the suspense last until January. His ministers too.

In case of victory in the municipal, the rule is now known: they will have to choose between the government and their city. But this will not prevent them from being despite all head of list. Made-to-measure that will avoid a big reshuffle during and after the campaign.

Gérald Darmanin, Sébastien Lecornu, Didier Guillaume or Jean-Baptiste Djebbari hide less and less their municipal ambitions .

Ambitions encouraged by Emmanuel Macron during the last government seminar. " It's interesting to have a local anchor to be attentive to what the French and elected officials feel ," says a minister.

One is never a candidate other than the place one has in one's heart and one's guts: if, one day, I were to be a candidate for #municipales, I do not see where it could be anywhere but Haven. pic.twitter.com/qcUdIuWMow
