It was on Thursday during a theory test for driving licenses in Lidköping that the trial judge noticed that something was not right. The trial judge suspected that a man had an unauthorized equipment with him into the room, an earpiece. This was the New Lidköpings newspaper first to tell.

- We monitor the samples closely and that's when the trial judge discovered this, when she confronted the man, he left the examination room, says Annelie Alin.

"Occasionally"

According to the unit manager, it appears that customers bring cheats, technical equipment or camera into the examination room.

- We are constantly developing new methods to prevent this. Now we have submerged screens to make it not as easy to film the sample, says Annelie Alin.

She says the case has been handed over to the police.

- We urge our customers to come prepared and they also get the honor and conscience to perform the test without unauthorized means, but we cannot assume that customers who do many tests cheat, she says.

Police: We know who it is

The knowledge test system is built to prevent cheating. Annelie Alin says that the system generates many different trial versions.

- You can get up to 12 different versions of the knowledge test before you get the same questions, she says.

The man had left the scene when the police arrived at the Swedish Transport Administration's premises in Lidköping, but to NLT, station commander at Lidköpingspolice, Lars Wallin, says that the police know who the man is.
