In March 2018, the vessel was hit by a side in Fyrisån and one side of the boat sank to the bottom. This spring, the wreck was moved from the quay site in central Uppsala to a new location north of the Kungsängsbron. There they had an agreement with the municipality that the boat would be allowed to stay until 31 August. Now it has been two weeks and the boat is still there. The municipality announces that it will force the owner to pay for the breach of contract.

According to previous information, the owner had the intention of getting the Ship again seaworthy again and then towing it to a dry dock where it will be renovated.

- According to the owner, they are currently prevented from carrying out the planned salvage due to a legal process, Roger Lindström announces.

On Wednesday, a fire was set on the boat while someone cut off the mooring. Police have secured tracks on the scene and some witnesses have also been heard in the case.

- We await answers to the technical investigation. There are people who have made the part, hopefully, crucial observations. If anyone has noticed anything in the case, you should of course get in touch with the police, says Jonas Eronen, press officer at Uppsala police.
