12 September 201916.31 With a protest note delivered to the Italian ambassador in Zagreb, Croatia "condemned in the most decisive manner" the inauguration this morning of the statue of Gabriele D'Annunzio in Trieste "precisely on the day that marks the centenary of the 'occupation' of Rijeka. It is learned from a statement from the Croatian Foreign Ministry sent to ANSA. It is an act, the note reads, that "contributes to disturbing relations of friendship and good neighborliness between the two countries".
