12 September 2019The discovery of a late-archaic stone head in the sanctuary of Athena, during the excavation campaign 2019 of the University of Salerno, is the last surprise reserved for archaeologists from the Paestum site.

Archaeologists directed by Fausto Longo have unearthed a face made of trocar; the material seems to be the same with which some decorative elements of the temple of Athena were made.
