Right from the start, Brynäs had a thin squad last year and it became even thinner after several injuries including big star Jennifer Wakefield. Now Wakefield has left but instead the club, with the team captain Erika Grahm as the manager of the women's team, has acquired strong. This year's law contains 10 new acquisitions. One of the new players is the 18-year-old back Maja Nylén-Persson from Avesta who last season played in Leksand.

Satisfied with Brynäs' commitment to the ladies
That something happened to Brynäs regarding the status of women's hockey seems clear. For example, four women's players along with, among other, several NHL professionals participated in Brynäs' traditional internal match between blacks and whites in the preseason. A match where not least Maja Nylén-Persson showed her skill and she seems satisfied with the betting team's bet.
- Brynäs has a really good organization that has a future plan where the ladies are also included and it feels great.
Several teams challenging for the SM gold
Luleå has taken home the last two golds and was last season superior in the series. But now there seems to be greater competition for the final victory.
- I think there are more teams that can challenge Luleå this year. HV 71 looks very strong, Linköping, Djurgården ... so it will be tough and tight
But for Maja Nylén-Persson, it is clear how she wants the season to end.
“Of course you want to win gold, that's why you go to the hall every day.
