Stuttgart (AFP) For the first time in the history of Baden-Wuerttemberg, a woman becomes state police chief. The lawyer Stefanie Hinz will take office on January 1, 2020 at the suggestion of Interior Minister Thomas Strobl (CDU), said the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Interior on Thursday. Hinz is then the second woman in Germany in such a position: In April 2018, Barabara Slowik was appointed National Police Commissioner in Berlin.
