Two Dutch Youtubers were arrested on Tuesday for entering the heavily protected Area 51 in the US state of Nevada, write American media. The pair allegedly ignored warning signs and drove nearly five kilometers into the area.
According to Nye County police, it's Ties Granzier and Govert Sweep. The YouTubers would have indicated that they "wanted to explore" the area. In the end, Granzier - the 21-year-old YouTube channel with 735,000 subscribers - would have wanted to upload a video about the tour.
Agents examined the car of the Dutch and found therein some cameras, a drone and recordings that had already been made of the terrain. The duo had to come to the desk and have been stuck in Nye County prison near Las Vegas ever since.
De Limburger hinted on Tuesday on his Instagram that he wanted to do a stunt in the area. "Now by making crazy shots of crazy adventures and Area 51," he wrote with a photo in the Grand Canyon.
For months there has been a fuss in the US about possible storming of Area 51
In the United States there has been much to do in recent months around the area, which is part of the Nevada National Security Site.
An event would have been created on Facebook to storm Area 51 on September 20, because rumors have been circulating for decades that 'alien space ships' and 'aliens' are being preserved. The initiator has since pulled the plug from the page because he fears a 'humanitarian disaster'.
