At 22.40 the alarm was received at SOS Alarm. Witnesses who passed the Ship in Fyrisån, at the height of Stallängsgatan, had observed a light from inside the boat which they suspected was a fire.
- We sent our patrol and rescue service there who were able to detect that a fire had been built inside the boat's lower compartments. But the fire was self-extinguishing. Someone had also cut the trousers, that is, the mooring to the boat, so it flowed freely, says Andreas Örth, commander at the regional command center in the Mittel police region.
However, the ship remained at the edge and the Rescue Service succeeded in securing and mooring the boat again.
- We have made some interesting seizures on the site and have had interrogation with witnesses who have passed, says Andreas Örth.
There is no suspect at this time, but a report of damage by fire has been prepared.
