The new factory, 67,000 square meters, is scheduled to be opened in early 2021, according to a press release from the company.
"The establishment of the new factory is a milestone in ABB's development in China and will further strengthen our leadership in the world's largest robotics market," said Peter Voser, Chairman of the Board of the company in a press release.
The factory is described by ABB as a center where robots make other robots and should also house a research and development center.
