Just before seven o'clock on Wednesday, a man showed a knife inside a grocery store on Vaksalagatan in central Uppsala. When the staff perceived the man as threatening, they called 112.

The man then left the store but was then found by police some distance away where he was arrested.

"The suspected man had a knife on the police seized," says Daniel Wikdahl spokesman RLC Mitt.

Had he stolen the knife or brought the knife into the store?

The 25-year-old is now suspected of illegal threats and violations of the knife law.

It is still unclear what purpose the man had in showing the knife to the employees in the store.
