The Mossos d'Esquadra have identified three people who have placed the Spanish anthem at a high volume from inside a room of a hotel near the Rafael Casanova monument just at the time that the president of the Generalitat Quim Torra along with members of the Govern made the traditional floral offering on the occasion of the Diada.

The agents have identified the activists and told them that they will receive a subpoena because they are attributed a crime of public disorder for blowing the Spanish anthem while listening to the notes of 'Els Segadors'.

As some sources have pointed out, the activists belong to the self-appointed cleaning brigades that are dedicated to removing yellow ties and other independence symbology for public space in Catalan towns. To express their protest they have set up a sound system quite powerful to make the Spanish anthem heard together at the time of the beginning of the floral offering , just with the presence of the Government, but then they have not repeated their action.

While it was ringing, some citizens were heard protesting with blows of casseroles and others shouting "outside Spain" while the Mossos searched in a nearby hotel for the origin of this Spanish anthem that has marked the beginning of the act of the floral offering and that has caused outrage in the government.

The Minister of the Presidency, Meritxell Budó , said that it is "lack of sensitivity and lack of respect for other sensibilities" and added that "we are celebrating the National Day of Catalonia with an offering to Rafael Casanova and this act as an attempt to try a boycott with the anthem of Spain, seems unfortunate and unfortunate. " For his part, the president of the Parliament, Roger Torrent , said that "no hymn bothers him."
