Previously, the corresponding bill was adopted by the State Duma in the first reading.
According to the draft law, the fine in the case of the first violation for legal entities will amount to 2-6 million rubles, and in case of a second violation - 6-18 million rubles.
The head of Roskomnadzor Alexander Zharov said that this project is “a signal not only from Twitter and Facebook, but also to other companies that have not yet complied with the requirements of Russian law.”
