11 September 2019The Minister of Justice Alfonso Bonafede has commissioned the Via Arenula Inspectorate to carry out investigations into the case of the award permit granted for his eighteenth birthday to one of the three killers convicted of the murder of the vigilante Francesco Della Corte. The Inspectorate will carry out preliminary assessments "aimed at assessing the correctness of the procedure and any disciplinary relevant conduct".

The three minors had attacked security guard Francesco Della Corte with a stick on March 3, 2018, while he was closing the Piscinola underground station in Naples. The man then died in the hospital. The three, two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old, had been stopped by the police on charges of attempted robbery and malicious murder. The boys had confessed to the attack.
