In an interview with Al Jazeera .. Hamdouk talks about the policy of axes and the relationship with the army and the return of Jews

Sudanese Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdouk said that his government will pursue a policy of distance from the axes and polarizations in the region, and is keen to respect the other and good neighborliness in its foreign relations.

Regarding relations with influential countries in the region and the world, the former regime had strong relations with them such as Russia, Turkey and Iran; Hamdouk said that his country will work with all peace-loving forces in the region, and will be the compass of its foreign policy based on good neighborliness and respect for the other.

In an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera, Hamdouk talked about several other internal and external issues and issues, as well as his government's programs and priorities in the coming stage.

Phase priorities
Hamdouk said that the priorities of the coming period are to stop the war and build sustainable peace, and work to resolve the economic crisis.

He added that the government's priorities include building democratic institutions and fighting corruption, as well as the fair and deserving representation of women who stepped up during the revolution and gave precious and precious success.

He said that the government agreed at its first meeting on these priorities, and will be held in the coming days, extensive meetings to develop detailed mechanisms for their implementation, and these priorities will be subject to detailed programs at the level of each ministry.

Quick support
Hamdouk revealed that the Rapid Support Forces will be integrated into the security services as part of the process of restructuring and establishing a national army for the country.

His Government was determined to restructure the security apparatus, including rapid support and armies of all armed movements, in order to build a strong national army.

Integration of armed movements
On the possibility of integrating the armed movements into the military establishment, Hamdouk said that the matter will be subject to the negotiations that are expected to take place with these movements, pointing out that the Sudanese people aspire to build a strong national army in which all Sudanese will find their different groups and their own destinations.

Representation of women
Regarding the barriers that prevented raising the level of women's representation to more than 20% in the government and the Sovereign Council, Hamdouk said that their ambition was to reach 50% of women in all bodies, but in practice this is not easy to materialize.

Although that ambition has not been achieved, Hamdouk adds, the foundations for engaging women have been laid down in the proportions they deserve, and the symbolism of appointing the first Sudanese woman as foreign minister does not hide, a move that is proud.

He pointed out that they are seeking to increase the proportion of women in the rest of the institutions, bodies and organs of the transitional period so as to take a decent place for them.

Relationship with the military
With regard to the nomination of the Ministers of the Interior and Defense in the Government of Hamdouk by the military establishment, and the problems that may raise about the real dependence of the two ministers and the various aspects of the relationship with the military establishment, Hamdouk said that these two ministers are genuine members of his government and participate actively and in harmony with the rest of the team in government work There are no problems in this regard.

The Jews of Sudan
Commenting on the Minister of Religious Affairs's call for the return of Sudanese Jews to Sudan, Hamdouk explained that it came within the framework of promoting a culture of religious tolerance, as well as part of a trend to create a self-reconciling Sudan, capable of managing diversity and pluralism among its various components. .

Remains of the former regime
In response to a question concerning the nature of the future dealings with the coordination of national forces affiliated with the former regime, will they be welcomed in the new government circles? Hamdouk stressed that no one has been excluded, but the issue of participation in the organs of the Transitional Authority remains governed by the proportions agreed upon.

He stressed that the issue of creating a healthy environment and appropriate for democratic participation and the ability to manage the difference is also necessary to manage diversity and political difference.Democracy, according to him, goes on two men, a ruling authority and the opposition, as long as the opposition within the civil and political framework allowed, this is not in question.

Stop the war and build peace
On the limits of the area in which his government is moving to deal with the demands of the armed movements, and whether they can reach to change the current constitutional document; Hamdouk said that there are no red lines, and they will make every effort to achieve peace and spread harmony throughout Sudan.

He added that his government has nothing to do in order to create a climate conducive to peace, including changing the constitutional charter.``This document belongs to the Sudanese people.If the need for peace is amended, we will do it.

Victims and missing persons
Hamdouk vowed to work to uncover the fate of the missing during the revolution. "We will not rest until we know their fate. We feel the pain of their loved ones. We hope they are there," he said.

He said transitional justice was organically linked to one of his government's top priorities: achieving peace. He pledged to work towards it to be guided by the Sudanese experiences and to accompany the results of more than 70 experiences in achieving transitional justice worldwide, some in Africa.

Sudan and the list of terrorism
Regarding the concerns expressed by the US administration about removing Sudan from the list of state sponsors of terrorism, Hamdouk said that Sudan today is reconciled with itself and its regional base, and establishes its new phase on good governance and respect for human rights and democracy, and does not pose any threat to anyone.

He added that the circumstance is fully conducive to removing our name from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.We have started a discussion with the Americans and with our brothers and friends, to create that favorable atmosphere to remove Sudan from this list.This is the simplest that can be offered to this great people and to this glorious revolution.

He stressed that his Government administered this file with great professionalism and transparency, and firmly believed that conditions and possibilities would be available to reach satisfactory results in this area.

He added that during his participation in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, he will endeavor to meet with American officials to discuss this issue. He will also give priority in his meetings with foreign leaders who have awaited role in his government's priority files, namely, peace and economy.

Border problems with Egypt
Regarding the border problems with Egypt, did you raise the issue of Halayeb and Shalatin in the meeting with the Egyptian Foreign Minister during his recent visit to Sudan? Hamdouk stressed that this issue was never raised during the Egyptian minister's visit to Khartoum.

He added that we aspire to distinctive relations with Egypt, and the visit of the Foreign Minister was to congratulate, and discussion on what we can do, especially with regard to the re-work of the bodies charged with discussing the files of integration between the two brotherly countries.

Party affiliation
