Dubai Community Development Authority (DDA) has launched the sixth social survey project in Dubai, in partnership with the Dubai Statistics Center, which will start its field phase on 21 September this year to promote initiatives, strategies, programs and policies aimed at meeting the needs and needs of families and individuals in the community.

Ahmed Julfar, Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai, said: “We are keen to launch a social survey regularly to measure the performance of the social sector in the Emirate of Dubai, monitor social issues and phenomena, analyze the data and information collected about community members and identify their needs and requirements to develop programs and services. For his part, Arif Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Dubai Statistics Center, said that the survey comes within the periodical statistical projects that support planning and decision-making processes, which is the most important permanent statistical project for the community development sector. This provides the Authority with a sequential and integrated data that enables comparison and identification of performance patterns and levels of improvement and measuring the impact of policies and programs aimed at the development of society and identify the challenges and aspects that require intervention during the next phase. The Community Development Authority stated that the survey aims to measure the performance indicators of the social development sector in the Emirate of Dubai, and to identify the social reality in the Emirate in general and link it to some demographic, social and economic variables. The survey will build a database on the social status of the emirate and study the living conditions of 4,000 families and 500 members of labor gatherings in different parts of the emirate.

The survey will be conducted by a team of 74 participants distributed among researchers, field supervisors, auditors and administrators.
