On August 28, Johnson announced the suspension of parliament until October 14, which was subsequently approved by Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain.

Labor head Jeremy Corbin called Johnson’s move a threat to democracy and an attempt to block discussion of his plan for a hard Brexit.

Stanislav Byshok, Executive Director of the CIS-EMO monitoring organization, in an interview with the FAN, noted Johnson’s desire to achieve his goal by any means.
