The Secretary of State for persons with disabilities, Sophie Cluzel, said Tuesday on Europe 1 that recruitment of assistants of school life (AVS) were still underway to meet the needs in this season.

INTERVIEW

More and more children with disabilities are enrolled in traditional schools: 400,000 in this season, 5% more than last year. But a problem arises. While half of them need accompanying school life (AVS), these are "only" 67,000. Some children and their parents are left without a solution.

Invited on Europe 1 Tuesday, the Secretary of State in charge of disabled people, Sophie Cluzel, estimated that "4% of students with disabilities" who need it did not have a SIA. "We still have some recruiting adjustments to make, it's in the process of being settled."
