“Petitions of the investigating authorities to take a preventive measure in the form of detention in absentia with respect to Alexei Nikolayevich Ananyev and Dmitry Nikolayevich Ananyev, accused under Part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code of Russia,” RIA Novosti quoted as saying to the press secretary of the Basmanny court of the city of Moscow Juno Tsarev.
It is noted that the Ananievs can be sentenced to ten years in prison.
The main asset of the Ananyevs, Promsvyazbank, came under the reorganization of the state in 2017, the new owners demanded that the brothers return 282 billion rubles.
On July 9, Taras Kozak, the owner of the Ukrainian NEWSONE television channel, denied a statement by prosecutor general Yuriy Lutsenko that the channel was allegedly connected with the Russian Promsvyazbank.
