A 60-year-old man was convicted of his refusal to serve a life sentence for the murder of a five-year-old mother in Brandkärr in 2006. The woman's seven-year-old son witnessed the murder and was the one who pointed out the now convicted man.

Anton Berg and Martin Johnson are doing the inaugural Spår and have now examined the case. According to Elsa Segerros, assistant lawyer who handles the man's travel application, their review has led to new information that now forms the basis for the travel application.

- Secondly, interviews have been conducted with experts on child interrogation, for the man is convicted of data from a seven-year-old boy and in the district court and court of justice no expert on child interrogation was ever heard and besides, an alternative motive image has also emerged, says Elsa Segerros.

Folded in two instances

The man has been sentenced in both district court and court. He has previously tried to rise twice but was rejected for lack of evidence.

- Both times new circumstances and evidence have been presented, which means that a third time, additional circumstances that have not been presented in previous travel applications have been highlighted, says Elsa Segerros.

The travel application will be submitted on October 1st.
