“In the conflict zone”: RT will hold MEDIA TALK with journalists and experts

RT MEDIA TALK “In the conflict zone: risks and responsibilities of journalists” will summarize the results of the Khaled Alkhateb International Memorial Awards 2019, established by RT in memory of the journalist Khaled al-Khatib who died in Syria, who collaborated with RT Arabic. Leading media representatives and industry experts will discuss how war journalism is changing, whether objectivity is possible when covering conflicts, whether artificial intelligence can defeat fake news, and other problems of modern media.

The winners of the second Khaled Al-Khatyb RT International Prize - journalists Fausto Biloslavo (Italy), Amitabh Revi (India), Anton Stepanenko (Russia) - will talk about their reports from hot spots and discuss the challenges that the profession faces today.

The moderator is the head of the Middle East Bureau of RT Channel Paul Slier, who covered the military conflicts in Syria, Libya, Egypt, Palestine, Israel and Ukraine.
