"The pressure on the EU from migration flows stabilized in 2018, but the continued use of smuggling routes, mainly through the Western Mediterranean and the Western Balkans, remains a concern in terms of combating terrorism," RIA Novosti reports the message from Europol.

It is noted that the use of migration flow in a terrorist context is "observed, but it is not considered systematic."

Earlier, the representative of the European Commission, Natasha Berto, said that the European Union allocated Turkey € 5.6 billion to combat the migration crisis.
