The kidnapping would be the work of armed men while the Libyan journalist's guide fled.

The abduction of reporter Szabo 'Gergely Hoang Viet took place Sunday evening from the River Hotel near the Abu Ghraiba mosque in central Tripoli.

The news was reported by the Libyan agency Lana, which cites a source that wants to remain anonymous.

The guide who accompanied the journalist, Ahmed Abdel Salam el Drouki, would be able to escape the kidnapping.

At the moment there are no more details of the abduction. According to the National Unity Government, the kidnapping was organized by 'professionals'.

According to the hotel, the Hungarian journalist checked out and no personal items were found in his room.

According to the Lana agency, the reporter would appear in a video in which terrorist militias ask him to say 'Allah akbar'.
