In Ukraine, 85% of the preparations for the heating season were completed

“Ukrtransgaz has already completed 85% of the repair and modernization of Ukrainian gas transportation facilities as part of the implementation of the preparation plan for work in the autumn-winter period 2019/2020,” the statement says.

At the same time, it is emphasized that the passage of the heating season may be complicated if Gazprom completely stops the transit of gas through Ukrainian territory from January 1, 2020.

Earlier, the representative of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the government, Andrei Gerus, expressed the view that the winter period in the country would be difficult due to disputes with Gazprom over gas transit.
