The French basketball players, despite a big Evan Fournier at 31 points, lost to Australia 100 to 98 Monday in Nanjing, China, and finished in second place in their group of the World Cup.
With this defeat, Vincent Collet's men will challenge in the quarterfinals the winner of the duel between the Americans and the Brazilians started Monday afternoon, half an hour after the start of the French match.
