The chairman of the Sudanese Transitional Council of Sovereignty, General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, affirmed yesterday the solidity and timelessness of the Sudanese-Egyptian relations and their development at all levels.

In a meeting with his office at the Presidential Palace yesterday, Al-Burhan pointed out to Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, according to the Sudanese News Agency (SUNA), the historical ties between the two brotherly peoples.

Shukri said in statements after the meeting, the specificity of relations between the two countries, and said that the talks between the two sides dealt with the overall bilateral relations, and the need to activate all mechanisms of joint work, and technical committees between the two countries.

For her part, Foreign Minister, Asmaa Mohammed Abdullah, said that the talks were positive and took place in a fraternal atmosphere, where it was agreed to continue cooperation between the two countries in all fields, and activate the work of joint technical committees between Khartoum and Cairo.

For his part, Egyptian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Advisor Ahmed Hafez stated that Minister Shoukry started the meeting by conveying a message of support to Sudan from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to General Abdel Fattah El-Burhan, expressing Cairo's appreciation for Sudan's success in the smooth transition to the new stage. And start the real course of action towards the hopes and aspirations of the Sudanese people.

The Spokesman pointed out that the meeting dealt with the mechanisms of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries. It meets the aspirations and aspirations of the Nile Valley peoples for prosperity and development. The meeting also dealt with a number of issues of common concern, particularly the file of the negotiations of the Renaissance Dam.

Earlier, Shukri said his country was making efforts to remove Sudan from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

Subsequently, the Sudanese Prime Minister, Dr. Abdullah Hamdouk, met with the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, where they discussed mechanisms to strengthen areas of bilateral cooperation.

The meeting dealt with the activities of the joint technical committees, including the Consular Committee, the Supreme Commission for Nile Water, the River Transport Committee, the Joint Committee in the field of food commodities, in addition to the negotiations of the Renaissance Dam.

On the other hand, Minister Shukri affirmed during the meeting, concerted efforts with the brothers in Sudan in the face of the recent flooding crisis, pointing out that Egypt is sending aid to ease the burdens of those affected by the floods.
