Several Aigle Azur takeover offers have been filed, including "two main offers", said Monday a representative of the SNPL pilots union after a meeting with the Secretary of State for Transport, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari .

"Two main offers evoked during the meeting," said SNPL President Aigle Azur, Martin Surzur.

"We will have the details this afternoon during the meeting of the EC (works council, editor's note)" of the company in bankruptcy, he added, adding that the buyers will be able to "outbid" on Tuesday and Wednesday.

An extraordinary works council was to meet at 3:00 pm to discuss the resumption proposals.

In particular, Air France has confirmed to AFP that it has submitted an offer, without giving its content in the immediate future.

Raphaël Caccia, secretary CFDT transport branch, spoke on his side two partial offers, one of the group Dubreuil, majority owner of Air Caraïbes, and the other of Lu Azur, directed by Gérard Houa, already shareholder of Aigle Azur up to 20%.

Mr. Caccia said he was "worried about the ground staff", that is 400 people. "There are also 350 people in Algeria for whom we have no answer," he said.

According to the CFDT, Air France would take 70% of the staff based in France and Dubreuil offer 106 people. With these two offers combined, there would still be 150 people on the floor.

A total of 14 offers have been submitted, according to the CFDT, some of which, like the "low-cost" companies EasyJet and Vueling, are only "declarations of intent". The former CEO of Hop! (Air France group) Lionel Guérin is among those who have submitted an offer, from the same source.

Still according to the CFDT, the most detailed offers presented Monday require a liquidation of Aigle Azur in court, clearance of debts to the key.

"Two types of offers seem to emerge, namely in the whole or in the bias of the resumption of activity and staff, we will be very attentive to what we will propose in detail, we do not know again, "said his side Denis Sanchez, FO union representative.

The commercial court must decide on an offer next Monday at a hearing, according to the unions.

Employing some 1,150 people, including 800 in France and 350 in Algeria, the company Aigle Azur was placed last week in receivership and ceased all flights Friday.

With its 11 aircraft, the group transported 1.88 million passengers in 2018, during which time it achieved a turnover of 300 million euros.
