It was Roger Söderling's grandfather who started production at home on the farm in 1915. An operation which was taken over by Roger's father, who ran the production until 1956.

The business is now closed down, but it reappears once a year during Tingsryd's Art and Hometown Round. In this way, Roger wants to pay attention to his father and grandfather for their work.

- My dad Evald took over after grandfather, but in 1956 it was no longer profitable when more modern machines competed manufacturing here. Then he just closed the door, went home and left everything as it is today - even the clogs remain here, Roger says.

Everything is complete with machines and molds. When the business went best, it had two employees who could produce several hundred roof tiles for one day.

The interest in manufacturing has been great during the art and home round.

- People come here to look at how to make cement tiles like they did a hundred years ago. That is what is unique. For me it is just work and expenses but I want to pass it on, says Roger Söderling.
