According to TASS, the turnout at 15:00 exceeded the required by law 25%.

“The turnout threshold has been passed, the total number of voters is 38.41%,” said Tamaz Gogia, head of the Central Election Commission of the Republic.

Earlier, the current president of Abkhazia, Raul Khadjimba, was the first of the candidates to vote in the second round of elections of the head of state.

On September 8, the second round of presidential elections began in Abkhazia. Khajimba and the chairman of the opposition Amtsahara party Alkhas Kvitsiniya take part in it.
