Since it was clear after a ruffling qualification this spring that Jönköping gets a team in the highest handball league, Hallby has tried to prepare in the best way.
Economically, the business community has set up and the club's sponsorship revenue has increased.

At the same time, the public interest is really great.
The club has sold about 420 season tickets, which can be compared to 150 last season and before the home game against Redbergslid it is almost sold out.

"Ticket sales have ticked on during the summer, but now it has accelerated considerably over the past week," says Lars Ericsson, who is the event manager at Hallby handball. During Friday afternoon we only had 200 tickets left so we expect a packed Arena.

"It gets magical"

Is it handball fever in Jönköping?

- Yeah really, I can't go out without someone coming up and talking handball. Old as young - everyone is talking handball in Jönköping right now, Ericsson says and continues:

- I almost shudder when I think about it. It will be fantastic tonight. The pressure it gets when there is a lot of people in the Arena, it is impossible to describe, it becomes magical.

Want to stay in the highest league

The goal of the club is to stay and establish itself in the highest league.
Before the season, five new acquisitions have been made, the latest, Jesper Jakobsson, Örebro joined as recently as four days ago.
Other new acquisitions are: goalkeeper Samuel Johannesson (RP Linköping) and outside players Adam Tumba (AIK), Martin Mårtensson (HK Aranäs) and William Hermansson (Västerås Irsta).
